Another great day guiding in the Chilean paradise that is the Andes!

Idyllic heli port at Powder South, Chile.

The run of the day from “Little Chamonix” (or “We’ll Be Back”), the left hand face in the sun. Starting at 4350 m, all in perfect corn, slopes up to 40 degrees with a passage of rope-work. Chile adventure skiing at its best at Powder South with a great group and our pilot Mauricio who makes it all happen!

We are all standing on the shoulders of our masters and teachers. I’m sad to hear that one of the greatest teachers of a generation just passed: The creator of Iyengar Yoga, Mr B.K.S. Iyengar. I will be practicing with him in my mind the years to come. This photo from last autumn from the shores of Ganges made me think of him. On that trip yoga helped me in the grief of a lost friend, but this year we will return to take part of a beautiful practice and way of life and maybe somehow keep fragments of the past masters alive in our movements! I know I yet can’t grasp what he have meant to the world, but I still have time, sweat and passion to find out!

When it’s good it’s good. For being august and 32 degrees in the valley, skiing is not too bad. The heat have taken its toll on the snow, but as we have a huge part of the Andes to play with and big vertical differences powder skiing is always an option! Such a great time hanging out with the crew at Powder South! Photo: @khlopuuushka

Skiing down “Hidden Paradise” today in perfect corn. Chile keeps on delivering contrasts! Photo: @khlopuuushka

A true prime line in great conditions: The Vivaldi. And it skied like a symphony!
